Family Café

SCROLL DOWN

Family Café

In 2009 our church launched a ministry called Family Cafe.  On this last Wednesday of each month we offer a meal to help families in our community who struggle to make ends meet financially.  The only requirement is that guests come with one child.

After the economy crashed in 2008 we discovered a need for families that we struggling.  We also found out that the Food N' Friends kitchens were mostly serving homeless single men.  We partnered with Food N' Friends to launch the first Food n'  Friends Family Cafe, which is commonly referred to as the Family Cafe.

Since then other churches in our community have begun offering meals like this, and the Council of Churches launched a ministry called Summer Cafe which serves lunches to children in our community at the community parks in Attleboro.

The Family Cafe is supported by donations through our Dinners on Us program.  People are able to pay for a meal in honor of, or in memory of a loved one. The donations are $350 for each meal, or you can make a donation for part of a meal.

The meals are prepared and served by our church members.  There are always opportunities to help serve within this ministry.  You must be 18 years or older to participate.

Little Blessings is a ministry of our church. We provide our students with opportunities for growth in a wide range of areas: social, emotional, cognitive, creative, physical and spiritual. We strive to develop a positive self-image in each child. Spiritual emphasis is placed on sharing and caring for one another and on recognizing the God- given qualities in each of us.

It is a State-licensed facility for three and four year old pre-school classes as well as a kindergarten class.

In the early childhood years, we believe much learning takes place through play, exploration and discovery. Through developmentally appropriate experiences in all areas, we seek to instill in our students a positive attitude toward themselves, each other, school and learning, thus contributing to their future success.

Tours can be scheduled at any time through the Director by calling the school office at (508) 223-5887.
